MAIN HUTT ROLL

The main roll for the Hutt electorate is now being printed, and contains 12,678 names. The 1935 main roll contained 14,006 names, but part of the electorate has since been included in the new Suburbs electorate, and this accounts for the slight decrease in numbers.

Names are now coming in at the rate of between 30 and 40 a day for the supplementary roll, but this number will increase as the interested parties become active in" their canvassing.

The new main roll will be placed in court houses, post offices, and libraries in the electorate for inspection within the next fortnight.
