"LEAKAGE" OF LEEKS

A charge of preparing four cases of leeks for sale in such a manner that the leeks exposed to view did not ! fairly represent in size, maturity, and condition the whole contents of the cases, was preferred against Dong Sang Lee, a market gardener, before Mr. J. H. Luxford, S.M., in the Magistrate's Court today. A witness produced two bunches of leeks, one alleged to have come from the top of the cases, and the other, of !much smaller size, from the bottom. "There has been some leakage, apj parently," said Mr. Luxford. (Laugh|ter.) Dong Sang Lee was convicted and fined £5 and costs.
