Mr. C. Jones, Beach Road, Plimmerton, a labourer, received an injury to his right thigh this morning which necessitated his removal to hospital by the Free Ambulance. Mr. Jones was riding his motor-cycle in the Ngahauranga Gorge at about 7.45 a.m. when the cycle struck a 40-gallon drum of petrol which, fell off the back of a lorry.
