N.Z. ACTRESS IN LONDON.
The talented Taihape girl, Elaine Hamill, is doing very well in her chosen profession—the stage—at Home. After a long stay in Australia, where she appeared with distinction in local amateurs, then with Williamson companies, and also as a mannequin.n she decided to go to England. She was in the cast of the play "Money Talks," at the London Lyceum, recently. Famous people in this company included Sir Seymour Hicks and that talented actress, Jane Carr; Miss Hamill enjoyed the experience of playing with such notable stage celebrities. She also took part in the "Q" theatre's production of John Van Druten's play,, "After All." This famous little theatre is a sort of suburban clearing house, for many "successful plays have had their debut on its stage. .It is situated in Kew. Miss Hamill will be remembered with affection for her excellent acting in the Williamson plays "Night Must Fall," "Fresh Fields," and "The Shining Hour," in which she was co-starred with another New Zealander, Ethel Morrison.
