Miss Hunt's role was that of Emilia: Mr. Richardson had appeared at the Old-Vie on a previous occasion, but as lago, so both he and Mr. Ollivier brought freshness to their roles. The two actors have for some time wanted to play together in ''Othello," and their association was a happy inspiration. Curigwen Lewis made an attractive De"sdemoria. Anthony Quayle was Cassio; Stephen Murray, Boderigo; Tristan ■• Dawson, the Duke; Frederick Bennett; Gratiano; and Andrew Cruikshanks, L'odovico.
