Fifty schools in the Manchester area are in future to adopt ships of the Mercantile Navy each year. By correspondence with -the seamen the children keep in touch with the ship; and plotting out the course, learning about cargoes and exchange, and hearing about people and customs prove the most exciting kind of geography lesson.
