-A flag competition played on the Paekakariki links yesterday for a trophy donated by Mr. Wilkinson was ■won by A. Scotland, who placed the flag in the nineteenth ■ hole. Next came H. Higgins, who reached the nineteenth green; A. Gollop, F. C. MeNail, J. Craighead, and W. Colton all placed the flag in the eighteenth hole. A fourball best-ball bogey over 14 holes was won by G. Little and H. Bundle, with 6 up. Then came F. Kember and.B. Lynch and A. Gollop and P. Wheeler, 4 up. . . In the captain's trophy competition, 'A. Craighead beat J. Wafring, 7 and 5; W. Colton beat F. Marshall, 7 and 5; N. McKenzie beat *N. Ewart at the nineteenth; F. Kember beat B. Lynch at the twentieth.
