KARORI I V. TECHNICAL
Judiciously feeding their right wing, Technical started off at a good pace in their match against Karori I, and were soon up to the circle, where Jackson worked hard. Breaking away on his own, C. Edwards took the ball down Karori's right wing and frequent scrambles ensued within the Technical circle. Bennett, in goal, stopped several good shots, the whole Technical defence, at this stage, being sound. Wahren eased the pressure by breaking down the field, and with luck would have scored. Roberts netted for Karori, and Edwards added two more neat ones, making ' Technical three down at half-time. In the second half Technical played better hockey-, and Wahren scored with a high shot. Shortly afterwards Edwards netted a fine angle shot for Karori. Once more Technical retaliated, and Kelly scored after a solo run. Karori were on the' attack when the final whistle sounded, with the score Karori I 4, Technical 2. Messrs. C. P. McKenzie and w. Purves were the umpires.
