SEATOUN WIN EASILY

Showing a standard of play that was a great improvement on their showing the previous Saturday and nearer their true form, Seatoun had little difficulty in beating Diamond by 6 goals to 2 on the No. 2 ground at the Basin Reserve, after leading 3-0 at the spell. Frequently the combination of the seasiders was brilliant, forwards and . halves working smoothly and sympathetically; goals were certainly missed, but generally the shooting was sound, Diamond were more disjointed in their attacks, but some solid defensive play was put in and their two goals were excellent. The ground was on the heavy side, but the pace throughout was fast. The way in which the Seatoun forwards swung into action, long passing alternating with snappy scissors passing, was pretty to watch. But for a fine save by McLean, they would have scored in. the first minute. Diamond fought back, but their movements lacked cohesion and Seatoun pounded away consistently. Seatoun missed with a penalty kick, and the shooting of D. Yeoman -was not all it should have been at times, but he compensated later. McLean, now undea fire, put away a header from an inside man, but had no chance with a drive from Gendall, who had come in from the wing. D.- Yeoman got the next, a clever pivot shot off a good centre
