HOSPITAL IN FORM

Hospital are making a late run to retrieve their fortunes on the division ladder, and in Saturday's game against Marist at Porirua the local team piled up a three-goal margin after .being one goal down early in the game. The ground was on the heavy side and there was a light cross-wind, but the game was fast and interesting. Marist opened up well, and had the Hospital backs bustled before the team could settle down. In the first few minutes Leonard scored neatly. For some time play was even, though Marist still seemed to have the upper hand. Near the end of the spell, however, Hospital showed some really firstclass form, and for the last quarter of an hour the play was as Hospital wished. Lambert and Woods went through in a nice movement, and (Woods evened the score. After a series of dangerous raids Webster relayed a pass from Miles into the net. Another quick follow-up by Webster drew the custodian out, and ran around him to score easily, putting Hospital two up.

The second half was an evenlymatched struggle between two teams whose defences were very hard to break: through. Both goalkeepers, Wyatt in particular, brought off splendid saves. a clearance by Wyatt the ball travelled down the left wing and Woods drove in a long, low shot which hit a post before, going in. Marist were on the offensive at the finish, and the game 'ended with the score: Hospital 4, Marist 1.
