SURF BOAT FOR ISLANDS

DUNEDIN, This Day

The second of two surf boats ordered by the Union Steam Ship Company for lightering cargo at Rarotonga was launched at Port Chalmers on Saturday. Later it . was shipped on the coastal vessel Waiana for Auckland. The boat is 30ft long and has a beam of 9ft.

E. Johnston and Co., auctioneers, will sell unclaimed cargo at their mart, 8 Willeston Street, tomorrow, at 9.45 a.m. They will also sell machinery, etc., on the premises, 432 High Street, Lower Hutt, on Wednesday, at 10.30 a.m., and household furnishings at their mart, Willeston Street, on Wednesday, at 1.30 p.m.

C. W. Price and Co., 91 Dixon Street, will sell carpets and household furniture in the mart tomorrow, commencing at 1.30 p.m.
