PEDESTRIANS HIT

CAR FAILS TO STOP

Three pedestrians were knocked down and injured at the corner of Victoria and Bryce Streets, Hamilton, early on Saturday evening by a car which did not stop. They were Mrs. Kathleen Allwright, aged 54, of Abbotsford Street, Hamilton, her daughter, Miss Nancy Allwright, aged 24, and Mrs. Jean Hunwick, also of Abbotsford Street.

The three women were walking along Victoria Street when a car rounding the corner struck them. Mrs. Allwright suffered head injuries, and her daughter injuries to the legs. Mrs. Hunwick escaped with minor injuries. Krs. Allwright and her daughter were admitted to the Waikato Hospital. Their condition is not serious.

The driver of the car has not yet been traced.
