RELIGIOUS SERVICES. T ECTURE ON BIBLE TRUTH ■^ (God Willing) 1.0.0. F. HALL, ALLEN STREET (Opp. Paramount, Courtenay Place). 'SUNDAY, at 7 p.m. Subject: "WHY THE END IS NEAR" NOT THE END OF THE WORLD, BUT THE END OF "THE TIMES otf THE GENTILES." The object of this lecture is to show that the Holy Scriptures clearly reveal that before the present age could end and the next age (the Millennial age) begin, certain predetermined recorded events would transpire. Some of these events are enumerated beloAv and their presentday fulfilment positively heralds .the near close of the present troublous age— (1) The decline of the Turkish Empire and particularly Turkey's loss of Palestine. (Rev. 16:12-15). This event will be illustrated by a large diagram. (2) Britain's occupancy of Palestine. (Ezekiel 38:13). (3) The return of the Jews and the revival of Palestine. (Roms. 11:2, Roms. 11:15, Eze. 37:21-22, Jer. 31:10, Jer. 31:28, Eze. 36:24, Psa. 102:16, Jer. 33: 14-15, Luke 21:24, Eze. 21:27). (4) Universal preparation for war. (Eze. 38:7, Joel 3:1-2, and 9, Zech. 14:2). . N.B.—AS A RESULT OF THE FULFILMENT OF THE ABOVE PROPHECIES THE STAGE IS NOW SET FOR THE FULFILMENT OF THE NEXT ITEM ON THE PROPHETIC PROGRAMME, AN EVENT WHICH WILL DEFINITELY INDICATE THE END OF THE PRESENT AGE—WHAT THIS (NOW NEAR) COMING EVENT IS WILL BE DEMONSTRATED BY A LARGE DIAGRAM. Questions invited. No collection. ' Bright and Happy Singing. Cheerful ChOrUWELCOME YOU COME. (Continued.) IN 1903 I left the railway, and after a while went back to Nelson. Once again amongst my old companions I went deeper into sin, altogether blinded by the god of this world, the Devil, who loves to delude his poor victims and take them down to a lost eternity. In June of that year the South Island Gospel Carriage came to our district. At that time Messrs. Binskin and Phillips were in charge of it. Both of these devoted servants of the Lord have gone to their eternal rest. J.o be forever with the Lord, whom they bo faithfully served. They started meetings at Ranzau, near Hope, and from the first God began to work. Backsliders were restored and souls were saved, many or whom remain unto this day. I was invited to go, and went, never expecting it would have any effect upon me. lhey were speaking from a large chart entitiea "The Two Roads and the Two Destinies. I had never heard preaching like this. They spoke as though it might be their last opportunity of proclaiming _ the glorious Gospel. I was deeply convicted of mv sin, and of my lost and ruined state before God, but the. Devil was busy telling me: Plenty of time. Also telling me that my old companions would laugh at me.' How many are in.Hell through listening to these lies of the Devil. Remember dear reader, you may be laughed into Heflbut they cannot laugh you out again. Next week (D.V.) this will be continued. Anxious souls please write F. J. Cross, 44 RakSPECIAL FREE OFFER. A new booklet entitled "What Awaits Ymi" by F P.
