I Mr. Higgins can take over the-posi-tion depends- on the officials of the Royal Calcutta Turf Club by whom he is now employed. It is understood, however, that there is little likelihood of any. obstacle-being placed in his way for residing in the East-has impaired his health, and both he and his wife are anxious to return to Aus-, tralia. Mr< Higgins left the Australian Jockey Club by whom he was employ-, ed as; Chief Stipendiary Steward to take up his appointment with the Calcutta Club.
