GERMAN LABOUR
GOVERNMENT CONTROL
STANDARDISED WAGES A NEW DECREE United Press Association —l»y Klectric Tel - graph—l'opyrWit. (Received June 29,11.20 a.m.) LONDON, June 28. The Berlin correspondent of "The Times" states that, supplementing the recent labour conscription decree, the Government has taken control of all wages and is establishing minimum and maximum standards and supervising working conditions, in order, by levelling wages, to overcome the difficulty of manning State projects when private rates cxceed State rates of pay.
Labour may be coropulsorily enlisted, but this is not at present contemplated, owing to the possibility of antagonising public opinion.
