The result of the annual postal match between the Christchurch and Wellington ladies' teams resulted in a win for Christchurch with a score of 680 ex 700, an average of 08.6, a truly wonderful performance. • Wellington scored G72, one point higher than their previous best. This is Christchurch Ladies' third successive victory. The scores for the last three years have been as follows .'—Christchurch, 674, 676, and 686; Wellington, 671, 660, and 672. Although the shoot lasted for only two hours there was a good entry in both the own start" and novelty events. In the own start B. Keys, R. S. Owen, Miss M. Calder, and A. •C. McCarter tied with 100 each. In the shootoff the scores were:—Keys 50. A. C. McCarter, 49, Miss Calder 48, Owen 4i. The prizemoney was won by the first two. Other leading handicap scores were P. W. Congreve, H. Nlckless, A. V. G. Wilson, and H. Culver, 99. The leading gun scores were: F. J. Waterworth 09, H. Nlckless. F. Monk, and R. S. Owen 98. 111 the novelty event—reversed targets—H. Nlckless was first with an excellent score of 62 Miss Paton and R. Congreve shared second prize with a good score of 59 each. Next Saturday's shoot will commence at 1.30 p.m. and tlio novelty event will be golf targets. BROOKLYN CLUB. Attendances at' the Brooklyn Club remain verv gooct and the shooting at a steady level. Miss Harrington is now shooting very well, as is G. Jensen. Chandler is at the top of the club ranking ladder. MUNICIPAL (L.8.0.G.) CLUB. There has been a good attendance at the Municipal Club lately and the shooting has been nf ahi eh standard. The best scores are L. Anderson and W. Adams 70, J. Jenkins 69, Miss M. Murray 67, L. Coozo and F. Williams 67. PUBLIC SERVICE CLUB. For the week ended June 18 W. A. Nicholson won the weekly competition (A Erajle) with the flrst club possible of the season.
