NAZI PROPERTY DECREE (Received June 27, 9 a.m.) I 'WASHINGTON, June 26. ) The Secretary of State, Mr. Cordell ) Hull, said that a Note received from 5 Germany exempts Jews permanently 5 domiciled in America 1 from the rules ) requiring the registration of all proJ per.ty held in Germany with the ex- ) ception of former German nationals - who have emigrated for political rea- • sons since 1933. , The text of the Note is withheld. 5 In an address prepared before the receipt of the Note, Mr, F, B, Sayre, , assistant secretary of State, publicly ; castigated Germany's economic policy !, as one leading to the degradation of the German people. Mr. Sayre's unprecedented action is expected to increase the strain on relations which the German Note was <ntended to ease.
