JEWISH EMIGRANTS
DOOR TO A NEW LIFE PARTY FOR AUSTRALIA (By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, June 26. Illustrating the strength of antisemitic feeling in Nazi Germany, a further large party of German Jews reached Auckland by the Aorangi today on their way to commence a new life in Australia. Between 25 and 30 similar migrants previously passed through Auckland on the Niagara on May 30. While possessing obvious bitterness for the regime which had forced their migration, the passengers were reluctant to discuss conditions suffered by the Jewish community in Germany, preferring to dwell on the future ratheir than on the past. 1 The/general sentiment was expressed by the statement by one member of the party that tht-y were fortunate in having secured permits to leave Germany. They were also lucky, he added, in having the chance of beginning a new life in Australia. . While many of the migrants are comparatively young men, the party Includes a 'number of women and children. In addition to professional and business men, several farmers are among, the travellers, and it is expected they will endeavour to acquire land in Australia.
