CALEDONIAN INGLESIDE
The Wellington Caledonian Society's ingleside on Saturday evening drew a crowded attendance of members and their friends, the hall being filled to its capacity. Visitors were present from outside districts and representatives from kindred societies attended. The MCs were Messrs. W. A. Blair and H Clark. Old-time and Scots dancing was indulged in, the accompanists being Miss Kelly and Miss Wilkinson, the pipers being Pipe-Major C. Stewart, Pipe-sergeant W. Smith, and Piper N. Tarrant. Interspersed between dances was a programme of songs and exhibition dances. Miss T. Richardson sang "A Little Love, a Little Kiss" and "The Moon is High"; Mr. G. Thompson sang "The De'il's Awa' with the Exciseman" and "The King's Highway"; Master Donald Young recited "Albert" and "Monty on Health"; the foursome swords and Reel o' Tulloch were danced by Misses Nancy Mac Donald, Leah Kerr, Peggy Tovey, and Peggy McKinnon; and Irish jig by Misses Phyllis Marsh, Audrey Young, Joan Dunstall, Merle .McClymont, and Master Keith Johnson; a tap dance by Miss Shona Bennetts; and a skipping duo by Misses Leah Kerr and Peggy McKinnon.
