REOPENING FOR PLAY A decision to reopen for play the KuVbirnie Stadium, which for some week's has been closed as being in too rough a condition for play by senior teams at any rate was made last night by the management committee of the Wellington Football Association. Mr C. H. Ballard reported that he and Mr. J. J. Kean, accompanied by an independent expert, had inspected the Stadium last weekend and were surprised at the improvement, which they attributed to the recent heavy rains. , ~ , Other members agreed that rain should have had a beneficial effect, and they pointed out the great need that existed for grounds, especially for lower division teams.
