APPEAL WITHDRAWN
THE CRAMM CASE (Received June 21, 9 a.m.) BERLIN, June 20. The appeal of the tennis player Gottfried von Cramm for a new trial has been withdrawn. Von Cramm was sentenced last month to a year's imprisonment for sexual offences. Subsequently it was stated that he was appealing, despite the judge's intimation that appeal was as likely to lead to an increase as a decrease in the sentence.
