£50 DONATION

The chairman of the Wellington S.P.C.A. reported to the council at its| last meeting that he had received an anonymous donation of* £50. w! donor was a Wellington lady, who Is an animal lover, and she expressed to the chairman, when making the donation, that she well remembered an; address he gave in a city church tm Animal Sunday some years ago. His Subsequent references to the proposed animal hospital, and the urgent need for funds, which have appeared m. the Press prompted her in making this liberal donation. The council felt that publicity should be given to this incident and expressed the hope that other animal lovers may act similarly.
