GENERAL'S DEATH

LEAGUE'S SYMPATHY

The late Major-General Sir George Richardson was known to many more soldiers than those of the New Zealand Division, and his death is regretted as much by ex-servicemen in Britain as in New Zealand.

The president of the New Zealand Returned Soldiers' Association (the Hon. W. Perry, M.L.C.) has received the following cablegram from the British Empire Service League headquarters in London: "Lord Milne and members of the Empire council much regret the sad news of the death of General Sir George Richardson. Kindly convey our message of sympathy to his relatives."
