SKID ON WET ROAD

(By Telenraph—l'ress Association.) DANNEVIRKE, This Day. When passing through High Street yesterday morning a car, driven by Mr. C. R. Tanser, chief inspector for Hamilton's (Australia-N.Z.), Ltd.,

sharebrokere, Wellington, got out of control opposite the Post Ofiice, went into a skid, and crashed sideways into another car owned by Mr. C. McDonald Fergus, the occupants of which were waiting for relatives from Hastings to proceed to a funeral. Mis. Fergus received body abrasions.

Mr. Tanser's car also broke a wooden verandah post and struck another parked car, and finished up facing in the opposite ■ direction from which it was going. The road was wet at the time.
