GENEVA STAND
DOMINION CONGRATULATED
"Is this Wellington? What a wonderful place; it's quite Swiss with those houses on the hills," remarked the Rev. A. Wylie-Blue, of Belfast, to a "Post" reporter as the Awatea steamed up the harbour past Oriental Bay this morn-
ing at the conclusion of her voyage from Australia. Mr. Wylie-Blue, who was accompanied by his wife, has achieved fame as a Presbyterian preacher, and during the week he intends to be in New Zealand he is to preach at Wellington and Auckland. For the past six months Mr. Wylie-Blue has been visiting preacher at Scots Church, Sydney, and he is now on his way back to Belfast. This is his first visit to New Zealand.
The interest people were taking in religion was cwnmented upon by Mr. Wylie-Blue, who said that the significance of the interest lay in the fact that today material things were very powerful. "I am very glad to see New Zealand's recent stand at Geneva," remarked the visitor. "New Zealand stood up to a principle, and though she might have only been a voice in the wilderness, hers was a voice of righteousness." Mr. Wylie-Blue is to preach in St. John's Church on Wednesday, at 7.30 p.m.
