One moth conquered 750 horse-power in'a strange engagement in a Montana (U.S.A.) coalfield recently. A stripping shovel that weighed more than a million pounds went suddenly out of commission, and for two hours mechanics searched for the trouble. At last they found it—a tiny moth miller. The insect had alighted on the contact fingers of one of the contactors in the machine.
