LEAGUE TEAM SEND-OFF

AUCKLAND, This Day,

A civic farewell was extended at the Town Hall to the New Zealand Rugby League team about to leave for Australia. The speakers were the Mayor (Sir Ernest Davis), Mr. J. A. Lee. M.P. (president of the Auckland League). Mr. H. C. Cable (Association Football Board of Control), and Mr. .T. A. Redwood (president of the New Zealand Rugby League and co-manager of the team). Mr. W-. McKnight, captain of the team, returned thanks. He said the team would do their best on and off the field.
