BADGES CHANGE HANDS
The nine rinks at the indoor bowling green were fully occupied on Saturday afternoon, when the badges were competed for. The holders, Moult, Johnstone, Ulmer, and Conder (s), were defeated b£ the challengers, Urquhart, Gibson, Witcombe, and Taylor, the final score being 30-16. During the week the first round of the Indoor Bowling Shield, sections A and B, were played. The following are the results: — Section A.—Hale (Island Bay), 26; Wilson (Newtown), 17. Taylor (Hataitai), 23; Noad (Lyall Bay), 18. Tucker (Victoria), 20; McCrea (Newtown), 12. Baker (Hutt), 27; Kershaw (Hataitai), 11. Gerkin (Petone), 22; Ryan (Porirua), 16. Section B.—Davison (Victoria), 26; Verry (Newtown), 16. Perry (Thorndon), 23; Johnson (Petone), 12. Parsons (Island Bay), 23; Warner (Wellington), 7. Had win (Hutt), 20; Skoglund (Wellington), 13. McCune (Hataitai), 18; Lightowler (Central), 15: Section C will play this week, the following being the draw and the nights of play:—Tonight: Lev/is (Newtown) v. Glen (Island Bay). Tuesday: Hill (Seatoun) v. Lawrie (Island Bay). Thursday: Austin (Newtown) v. Claughton (Wellington); Cheesman (Hataitai) v. Blythe (Seatoun); O'Donnell (Wellington) v. Wellings (Hataitai).
