TALKS TO CONTINUE

UNDERSTANDING REACHED

AN ELECTION CLASH

United Press Association—By Electric Tele-

graph —Copyright. (Received May 30 1.30 p.m.)

LONDON, May 29,

The Prague correspondent of "The Times" states that the second day of the Czechoslovak elections passed without incident, except at Tisa, where before polling commenced Sudeten Germans clashed with German Social Democrats, resulting in a scuffle. One Sudeten German was slightly wounded by a revolver bullet. The Premier, Dr. Hodza, and representatives of the Henlein Party, after discussion of "the most actual questions," announced that they had reached an understanding for continuance of negotiations. This is the first time both sides have reported progress.
