PARTIES FOR BRIDE-ELECT
Mr. and Mrs. S, L. Moses (Mayfair Flats) entertained a number of friends this afternoon at a- cocktail party in honour of Miss Margaret Aimers, whose wedding to Mr. Neville Parker will take place on Saturday afternoon. A number of parties have been given recently for the bride-elect, who received many useful and attractive gifts. At a very enjoyable dance which was given for her and Mr. Parker recently by members of the Titahi Bay Golf Club (to which they belong), they were presented with a handsome chiming clock. Among those who have given parties are Mrs. W. Leesk, Misses Betty Small, Mollie, Trixie, and June Hargreaves, Celia Lutzky, I and Doris Yellowlees.
When making soup from bones which have been cracked by the butcher, place the bones in a fine muslin bag before putting them on to boil. This saves straining the soup, as the splinters remain in the bag.
