GOING TO ENGLAND
TWO FAREWELL PARTIES Two parties were given yesterday to bid farewell to Miss Margaret Gibbs, -who will leave by the Arawa on Saturday for England. Miss Joyce Thomas and her brother, Mr. Geoffrey Thomas, gave a "five o'clock party at their home in Mariri Road Kelburn, and in the evening Miss Valmai Richardson had a bridge party at her home in Talavera Terrace. • Miss Gibbs wore a smart navy blue suit and accessories to the five o clock party. Her hostess was dressed in a navy blue skirt and pale waltz blue lace blouse, and the reception rooms were bedecked with golden chrysan-' later attended the bridge narty were Miss Gibbs, Mrs. Edward E Gibbi, Mrs. John Macdonald Mrs. Peter Kixkcaldie, Mrs. Athol Millward, and the Misses Moya Hempton, Bertha and- Jessie Forbes (Cheviot), Joyce.
