Y.M.C.A. BADMINTON CLUB
A general meeting of members and friends of the Y.M.C:A. interested in badminton was held recently. Mr. D. McFarlane was elected as chairman. It was decided to form a club to be known' as the Y.M.C.A. Badminton Club, and the following officers were .elected:—President, Mr. W. J. Melody; vice-presidents, Messrs. V. C. Jones >and G. Pearce; committee, Messrs. I). McFarlane (chairman), ,D. Henderson, S. Walters, Misses L. McNeill, and B. Lamb; club- Mr... Richardson; secretary, Mr. M. Morten. It was decided that as the court was available only on Saturdays that the piay'staFt at 2io'clock in the afternoon and the evening session at- 7.30 fcuri. The official opening of the club will be held on Saturday, May 21, at 8 p.m.
