REPORTS AND RETURNS

Talisman Dubbo reports for period ending Atfril 29:—No. 4 level: At 1053 ft south of main crosscut a watercourse containing payable boulders was met. At 1074 ft south rise put up and beaten north towards this watercourse. Rise •holed into it at 20ft up (slope measurement). Alongside this'watercourse a lode was intersected which assayed as follows: —12in flint on the north wall, very good value; 18in mixture fair falue; 12in flint on the south wall, very good value. No. 2 level: Start made to stope block ,of ore left intact in tirst crown V at a distance,, of 250 ft south of main crosscut. Location directly underneath intermediate level, jivhich was driven in of-hill above No. 1 level. Present length of stope in No. 2 is 20ft. Average width 20in, and with ore of good value. Assays show: North end lode, 18in of good values; middle lode, 24in of fair value; south j end lode, 24in of good value. It is j anticipated that valyes will improve as stope is heightened. Stoping: Four men breaking ore in No. 7 stope, which is 100 ft long. Reef sft wide, of good value, and two in Kenny's stope, Dubbo level. A hopper has been built at No. 7 level to hold 200 tons. ■ Road from No. 7 to mill via Scotchman's Gully repaired and now in good order. A large tonnage of ore is broken out ready for treatment in anticipation of battery starting shortly. Precipitation outfit, which has held up completion of battery, arfives by Monterey, and will be immediately installed. WHITE'S ELECTRIC. White's Electric Gold Dredging Co. (Barrytown) reports the following return of gold won by the ,company's dredge during the week ended May 12: 330z of gold ip 127 hours' dredging time. NEW RIVER. New Riyer Gold Dredging Co.'s return of gold won during the week ended May 12 was 28oz of gold from 11,000 yards treated in 121 hours' dredging time. WORKSOP. Worksop Extended Gold Dredging Co.'s return for the week ended May 12 was 290z for 128 hours and 11,000 yards. GOLDFIELDS DREDGE. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) TIMARU.t May 15. The Goldfields Dredging Company advices a return of 14oz 14dwt for 92 hours' dredging. Telegraph—Pres9 Association.) DUNEDIN, May 14. The Gillespie's Beach return was 51oz 16dwt for 192 hours.
