FALSE DECLARATIONS
FINE AMD IMPRISONMENT

NAPIER, This Day. On four charges of making false declarations in respect of- house properties, James Humphrey was sentenced to six weeks' imprisonment with hard labour on the first .charge and' fined £25 on the second,\ in default three months' imprisonment w/th hard labour, cumulative with the first sentence. On th 6 remaining two charges he was ordered- to come up for sentence in twelve months if called upon. The Magistrate commented that it was a case of pure greed.
