LOWER HUTT RECOUNT The recount In the Lower Hutt local body elections, completed yesterday, resulted in Mr. C. G. Hedge (Citizens) losing his place on the list of successful candidates for th 6 Lower Hutt Borough Council to Mr. H. G. Burrell (Labour). Mr. J. E. F. Vogel (Citizens) is now at the head of the list of unsuccessful candidates, three votes behind" Mr. Burrell. Messrs. Hedge and R. D. Smith (Citizens) are equal in eleventh place. There are now five of the Citizens' candidates on the council and four Labour candidates. In the former council there were only two Labour councillors. Mr. J.'W. Andrews (Citizens) is 119 votes ahead of Mr. P. Dowse (Labour) in the, Mayoral contest.
