VOTING FACILITIES

(To the Editor.) Sir,—Prior to the elections you emphasised the duty to vote; now in the light of recent events in the Hutt Valley during the elections please emphasise the need for adequate facilities. I stood outside in bitterly cold weather for one hour to enjoy my right to express my will. This was general after 4 o'clock, and at 8 o'clock the people were still waiting. Surely those in authority will realise the seriousness of this condition and will do their utmost to eliminate any frustration of the expressed will of the people in the future.—l am, etc., . v J. R. SCOTT.
