A SMALL PROFIT MADE
Despite the fact that the InterDominion Championship Meeting suffered from three postponements through wet weather, the New Zealand Metropolitan Trotting Club made a small profit over the meeting. The sum of £17,000 was given in stakes, and considerable expense was incurred in bringing six horses from Australia. It is understood that while the gate takings were satisfactory they were not up to expectations, and the revenue from the sale qf race books also was less than was anticipated. I
