William James Gilbert, a motordriver, aged 26 (Mr. R. Hardie Boys), I tried in the Supreme Court yesterday with assault with intent to rob and attempted theft from the person, was found guilty by the jury of common assault, and was remanded for sentence. Mr. Justice Reed presided and •Mr. W. H. Cunningham appeared for the Crown.
