CONCLUDES TODAY DEMONSTRATION CONCERT TONIGHT f 1 The National Eisteddfod will conclude a tonight with a demonstration concert in 2 the Wellington Town Hall. Throughoul _ the past week the festival has been 2 conducted with smoothness and effi--2 ciency, largely owing to the efforts oi i a small band of workers under the ( capable management of Mr. Kenneth . McLennan, and in the various classes ; youthful talent has been brought to light. i The adjudicators, Miss Dolee Brooks, . M.R.A.D., M.1.5.T.D., of Sydney (fancy I dancing), Miss Lexie Mathieson, ! A.T.C.L., of Dunedin (elocution), Mr. ■ Harison Cook, of Wellington (vocal), : Mr. Frank Crowther, of Wellington : (instrumental), and Mr. Alec E. Lake, of Wellington (national dancing), have been highly impressed for the most part with the general standard of the competitors. ,The accompanist for the festival was Mrs. Audrey Gibson-Foster, of Wellington, and the assistant accompanist, Miss Dorothy Spinks. Mr. Charles Stewart acted as official piper, and the stage manager was Mr. F. H. C. Smith. Events continued this morning and concluded this afternoon. The latest results are as follows:— Recitation in Character (girls 8 and under 12), nine entries.—Ngaire Corkhill (Wellington), 1; Colleen Gay (Petone), 2, Fay Compton (Kilbirnie), 3. Very highly commended: Patricia Full (Northland).
