Introduc* ed in the Dail by tbe FJnanW Mini* ter, Mr. Sean McEntee. ' A sum of £600,000 Is allotted to defence, making a total for the year of £2,272,314, The estimated revenue Is £3«05,000 and the estimated expenditure £31,500,990. . ■ Interest charges In connection with the British loan are estimated a| £425,000 in 1938. Mr. McEntee recalled that the cap. ital value of payments to Britafa would have been £100,000,000, and the community therefore might feel satisfied that it was advantageous to settlf the claim for £10,000,000.
