A cablegram received from Ottawa on Friday stated: The Canadian Government is requesting Mr. Randolph Bruce; Canadian Minister in Tokio, to investigate the arrest at Osaka of Mr. Gilbertson, a Vancouver engineer on the freighter Heathcote, who is charged with being in possession of snapshots of Japanese warships and fortified Japanese zones.
