PRESUMED SUNK
BRITISH STEAMER
HOPE ABANDONED LONDON, May 9. Relatives of the crew of 38 on the London steamer Anglo Australian (5453 tons) have been informed that hope has been abandoned and that the vessel is presumed to have sunk in the Atlantic. She left Cardiff on March 8 for Vancouver. A' message was received stating that she passed the Azores on March 14, and there has been no news since.
