LUCIDUS WINS
THE FRANKLIN MEETING (By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, May 7. The Franklin Racing Club's Winter Meeting wa? held in fine but dull weather, the track being holding after rain. In the principal event, the President's Handicap, the little-fancied Cheval De Volee won nicely from Light Comedy, who was also at good odds, with Miss Lu filling the minor placing.
