STILL VERY FIRM
FROZEN LAMB PRICES Priccs for frozen lamb in London remain very firm, with excellent output, according to the 'weekly cable received by the New Zealand Meat Producers' Board. On the mutton market wethers are unchanged. For ewes trade is slow, with the tendency weaker. There are no frozen beef j quotations. Chilled beef prices, in spite of heavy supplies, remain steady. New Zealand porker pigs are meeting with the usual seasonal decline in demand. The market is quiet. Baconer pigs are steady and unchanged. The board advises that the following are the ruling prices of wholesale quantities of the descriptions of frozen meat mentioned, and are for representative parcels of the goods sold on Thursday. Chilled beef- prices are averages of the week. All prices are on the basis of delivered to Smithfield market. Prices for the previous week are given in parentheses.
