AIRPORT NEWS

Group-Captain the Hon. A. R. Cochrane left for Christchurch in the Wellington Aero Club's Whitney Straight this morning. Flight-Lieutenant Cocker, flying the Wellington Aero Club's Miles Hawk, left for Christchurch this morning. During the weekend when flights by Baffin bombers were made, wireless communication with the machines v/as tried out for the first time-, Rongotai being the base station. The trial was successful.
