QUEENSLAND ELECTIONS

BRISBANE, April 8. The completion oC the counting of votes for the last doubtful seat gave the Government a striking victory in the former Country Party stronghold, Dalby, held since 1909 by Mr. Godfrey Morgan, Minister of Railways in the Moore Government. The contest for this seat was most exciting, Mr. Slessar winning by 43 votes. The party strengths are ndw:—Labour 44. Opposition 18, Including one Protestant Labour.
