WHANGAREI, April 8. The Whangarei Racing Club's Autumn Meeting opened today m fine weather, the track being in excellent order. There was a large attendance, and the totalisator handled £12,5U<5, compared with £14,946 on the corresponding day last year, a decrease of £2444.
