NEXT WOOL SEASON
REDUCED OFFERINGS
RECOMMENDATION MADE
(By Telegraph—Press Association.)
CHRISTCHURCH, April 7,
The possibility of a reduction of allocations next year, and the consequent extension of the wool-selling season in New Zealand is embodied in a recommendation made by a meeting of wool-growers, wool-buyers, and wool-brokers with members of the New Zealand Wool Committee, on Wednesday evening, when Sir William Perry presided. The meeting was private, but the following statement was issued today:— "Following a full discussion it was unanimously agreed that it be a recommendation to the New Zealand Wool Committee to reduce allocations for each selling fixture for the 1938-39 selling season, which may possibly entail a proportionate extension of the wool-selling season next year."
