DRAMATIC ACTION
SUDETEN GERMANS
MARCHED OUT OF
CHAMBER
THE PREMIER'S POWERS
(Received April 8, 1.10 p.m.)
LONDON, April 7.
The Sudeten Germans dramatically walked out of the Czech Chamber of Deputies in the last session before Easter after a speech by their leader, Herr Kundt.
Herr Kundt said that recent developments had shown that the Coalition parties did not intend to change the present system.
The Prague correspondent of the "Daily Telegraph" says it is understood that the Governmental parties gave wise powers to the Premier, Dr. Hodza, to negotiate within three limits, firstly that there should be no alteration in Czechoslovakia's foreign policy; secondly, that there should be no territorial autonomy ;and thirdly that there should be unconditional loyalty to the Sudeten German party to the State, including cessation of propaganda. Leading members of the Henlein Party made it clear that they will not recognise these limits and want Czechoslovakia to drop the pact with Russia. They insist on territorial autonomy.
. Herr Henlein indicated that dualism is wanted similar to before the war in Austro-Hungary. . s The party flag of Henleinites was flown today beside the Czechoslovak flag over the Town Hall at Marienbad. It was removed later at the request of the police.
