MORAL MEXICO CITY

President Cardenas, of, Mexico's campaign to improve the m6ral tone of his capital, has now been strengthened by a ruling of the Mexican Supreme Court, This ordains that cabaret girls in the city are not tp work after 10 o'clock at night.; The effect of this law will be particularly cramping, as Mexico City at night never showed much sign of life before 11 o'clock. It will now show no sign of life at all. This is one of several reforms instituted by President Cardenas. Coining of Tarascan Indian stock, he neither smokes nor drinks. Since he became President he has restricted the sale of liquor and closed many gambling establishments. Among them is. the huge indoor stadium- in Mexico City, where jailai, Mexico's version of the Basque game pelota, was played to the accompaniment of heavy betting.- Even bridge clubs are now prohibited. The National Lottery, however, goes merrily on.
